Doesn't quite look right

Very interesting idea, I'd like to see this developed further. I've noticed though that there's a few things off about it. The spec highlight shape looks unnatural (especially when the vertices are reflecting circular highlights), also if the line is aligned so that it vertically intersects the plane, it illuminates only one side of the plane rather than producing a smooth circular glow.

Keeping an eye on this!

Thanks for your interest :)
My Path Lights started off initially as an "I wonder if..." question, so its really suited to atmospheric lighting rather than being a main light source in a scene. The specular lighting is the main problem I found. Its even worse when you use quadratic curves ( which I will get round to posting some time :P ), since there are 3 possible closest points.

Its great to hear feedback on what people think. Thats why I posted it here :P
